How to say what someone is currently (busy) doingEdit

  • Être en train de - are busy
    • Nous sommes en train d'chanter - We are busy singing.

How to say what belongs to someoneEdit

  • Être à + name of person/stress pronoun - Whom/belongs
    • À qui est cette montre? - To whom does this watch belong to?/Whose watch is this?
    • Elle n'est pas à moi - It does not belong to me.

How to talk about being on timeEdit

  • Être à l'heure - To be on time
  • Être en avance - To be early
  • Être en retard - To be late
    • Je ne suis pas en retard. Je suis toujours à l'heure. - I am not late. I am always on time.

Adjectives: Different FormsEdit

Singular Plural
Masculine - (petit) -s (petits)
Feminine -e (petite) -es ((petites)
  • Adjectives that end in -e in the masculine singular form do not add another -e in the feminine singular. Examples are "dynamique" and "logique".
  • Adjectives that end in -s in the masculine singular form do not add another -s in the feminine singular. Examples are "français" and "anglais".
