Bennet is the only writer that I am aware of who celebrates capitalism Teresa starts with a description of a bank and he tells us that the financial industry is what makes London such an exciting city He is interested in the landscape and describes celebrates Watling Street The Thames at night we are told makes London one of the most beautiful capital cities it s only equal being Budapest which he spells with it s Hungarian spelling The narrative is a detective story and reads easily and mostly compellingly but not memorably He does not like weakness in a human being and the weak man commits suicide
