  •   Pro the Ukrainian people a have a right to national self-determination in their homeland, they have decisively chosen association with Europe, and Russia has no good reason aggressively invade and absorb this independent State.
  •   Con Russia should invade and seize as much territory as possible in order to "Make Russia Great Again". Russians should keep fighting, regardless of the mass loss of human life and potential, and despite the vast expenditure of wealth, until the Ukrainians die or surrender to Russian sovereignty.
    •   Objection This line of thinking implicitly assumes a "might makes right" doctrine, which has been criticized as inhumane and barbaric.[1]
