Summary
| Description |
English: Dolerite cone-sheets Basaltic magma from the Ardnamurchan Central complex has intruded along inclined, concentric fractures at depth in the ancient bedrock of the Moine Schists. Exposed after long erosion, we now see regular, steeply inclined layers of dolerite which rest at a high angle to the smooth dip-slope of the schistose rocks. Distant hills are formed from the gabbros of the central complex. |
