Français : Cette tige à souder contient 2% de Thorium 232 comme indiqué par le bout rouge de la baguette ce qui représente 0.23 g. L’ajout de Thorium permet d’augmenter l’intensité du courant et de stabiliser l’arc de soudure. Cette tige est communément utiliser dans l’industrie (soudage TIG). Au niveau de la radioprotection, souder avec ces baguettes n’est pas recommandé car le Thorium se retrouve dispersé dans l’air, que les intervenants peuvent respirer. Le Thorium 232, unique isotope naturel du Thorium, à une demie-vie de 14 milliards d’années.
