HOLIDAYS OF HOPE Edit

BONGI MOSIA Edit

Bongi Mosia is the project director of Holidays of Hope. Bongi joined South African Tourism in 1993 focusing on the MICE business. At the time the business tourism division was strong on Incentive Travel promotion internationally. The services of the division broadened to include conference promotion which entailed offering support for conference and event bids, corporate business development, incentive travel promotion and the overall promotion of South Africa as a Business Tourism destination.

After retiring from South African Tourism in 2005, Bongi and an industry colleague realized the gap in the services rendered to children orphaned and made vulnerable by HIV & AIDS, which is the Psychosocial aspect of these children, hence the establishment of the Holidays for Aids Orphans organization which is trading as Holidays of Hope.

To date Holidays of Hope has succeeded to put smiles on the faces of 450 kids with loads of stories to tell & memories to remember forever. They have been receiving support from companies like PetroSA, Transnet, Eskom, Telkom and the Rotary club of Sandton, Protours and Springbok Atlas. Holidays of Hope is registered as a Section 21 company, a Non Profit Organization and has been approved for purposes of section 18A of the Income Tax Act.
