Having discussed with with editorial board, we have decided to decline this submission as a desk rejection. Minor unacknowledged plagiarism of text was detected from Cambridge University Press. Additionally, the article reads as an opinion piece that doesn't sufficiently represent the current state of science in the chosen sub-field, or present and synthesise its points sufficiently coherently. It therefore doesn't meet the threshold of merit necessary for sending out for peer review.
