Discussing Hello World program with Chat GPT edit

Howdy doody! the purpose of this Journal entry is to extend the class discussion with "Hello World" program with Chat GPT. The question Chat GPT had to answer was, do you know about the Hello World program, and what information do you have on it? Chat GPT responded saying that the Hello World program is a basic program that is usually used for a introduction to programming. The process will get the program to say the phrase "Hello World." Chat GPT also went through three different ways to program the hello world in different programming languages, those being, Python, Java, and C++.

Python: print("Hello, World!")

Java: public class HelloWorld {

    public static void main(String[] args) {

        System.out.println("Hello, World!");

    }

}

C++: #include <iostream>

using namespace std;

int main() {

    cout << "Hello, World!" << endl;

    return 0;

}

Chat GPT then went on to say that other programming languages will probably have different ways to display "Hello World," but the core idea is to have the program display "Hello World," and is a great way to start with programming. Signing up to the course/ Started class journal/ Get started on Wikipedia and Wikiversity assignments edit

Hello, the purpose of this journal entry is to talk about the first week of assignments. The first two was signing up to the Digital Media and Info in Society class on Wikiedu and starting the class journal. I have completed these task while being in class, but didn't complete the quiz until later. The last task was Getting started on Wikipedia and Wikiversity. During the task I went through what Wikipedia is about and the "rules" of Wikipedia (on the assignment it said that they aren't any rules, but don't plagiarize or write non sense).

Evaluate Wikipedia Article assignment/ making a small edit edit

Hi, the purpose of this journal entry is to talk about week two of assignments. The first assignment is Evaluating Wikipedia assignment. This assignment talks about the difference between a good and bad banner and how to cite sources and not plagiarize and say words how you would say it, and how to edit a article. For the small edit, the Shovel Knight Wikipedia page forgot one collaboration, that being with the game Fall Guys.

Extending 11/Sep/2023 class discussion with ChatGPT edit

Hi, The purpose of this journal entry is to extend the class discussion about the history of technology with ChatGPT. The first thing discussed with ChatGPT was a question, "What do you think is the biggest technology innovation." ChatGPT said it was difficult to pinpoint the biggest technology innovation, then it started to list off some of the more significant technology innovation.

1.Internet and world wide web

2.Smartphones

3.Artificial intelligence

4.Blockchain

5.Electric and Autonomous vehicles

6.CRISPR and Gene editing

7.Renewable Energy

8.Space Exploration

9.Quantum Computing

10.Augmented and virtual reality

The next thing discussed was about AI, the question was "How do you think AI will evolve in the future?" ChatGPT responded by stating that from research and development of computers and AI, AI will then start to help with Healthcare, Edge computing, addressing global environment challenges, understand Multiple Modalities, more creative, and being able to adapt with society and industries. Pretty interesting discussion. Link: https://chat.openai.com/share/5d355d0a-774e-4ebc-93f6-4f1d7bbbd9f9

Collaborate with Final project topics with ChatGPT (lets hope this saves) edit

The purpose of this journal is to talk about a final project topic for digital media with ChatGPT. I had to write this a second time because the last one didn't save. The final project was about what media would look like in the future. I immediately chose Video Games because i always wonder what would the future of games look like. The topics prompt were "what would videogames look like in the future" , "what would programming languages look like in the future" and "What would game engines look like in the future and how different would they be from current game engines." ChatGPT responded stating that in the future there would be better programming languages to better suit particular problems, stronger and better processors to run more graphicly intensive video games, More use of VR and AR to make us feel like we are in the games, game engines that would use little to no coding, better AI for NPCs in games, possibly even crypto and blockchain in games, and so many more details.

Extending Orality class discussion with Chat GPT edit

hi, the purpose of this entry is to extend the class discussion about Orality with Chat GPT. The first prompt was a question "what would current day look like if humans didn't discover writing." Chat GPT responded, stating that writing have been substantial and without it we would have a heavy focus on passing down info by stories, having a harder time learning anything, smaller popularities since writing connected communities together, slower culture spread, technology would be a lot slower, and even more reliant on symbols. Prompted next was a quick "are you sure" and it stated that while it writing is a great impact of history, humans could of developed other methods other than writing.

Wikipedia assignment, choose possible topics edit

The purpose of this journal entry is to summarized the assignment choose possible topics on Wiki edu. First part was finding your article, which talks about staying away from controversial topics (which would have a lock symbol on the top right of the article), avoid conflicts of interest, finding content gaps by using the navigation template, wikiprojects, different tools to find articles, and Notabilities.

Second part was a exercise, Finding potential articles. It was about finding an article based on what your topic is about and using the category and stub sections to find another article that is based on the topic. The topic i chose was about Videogames, and i chose the category video game history, then about video game console generation, then the most recent generation (being the 9th generation) and then the game console (which i chose Meta quest 2 because it is the most recent VR headset releasing in 2022). The exercise then goes on to say to critique the article and right it in the choose the article page.

Collab with Chat GPT to extend early literacy class discussion edit

The purpose of this journal entry is to extend the early literacy class discussion with Chat GPT. For a little bit, we discussed about AI writing articles and I wanted to learn more about the Positives and Negatives of AI writing Articles. The first prompt was "give me three examples on why AI creating articles is a positive." Chat GPT responded, stating that AI is way faster and more productive at creating articles than Humans are, AI can analyze a lot more bigger data based on trends and patterns that might confuse or challenge humans to discern, and AI can also translate articles to multiple languages way faster than Humans.

The next prompt was "ok now give me three examples on why AI creating articles is a negative." Chat GPT responded with, lack of context or accuracy with topics and can spread misinformation online, writers could lose their job because AI does the same work they do but AI doesn't get paid, and AI could plagiarize and it would be difficult finding credit.

Collaborate with ChatGPT in a conversation about a specific topic edit

The purpose of this journal entry is to talk to Chat GPT about the final topic i chose, which is the future of videogames. The prompt given is "give me five examples on how video games will look like in 10 years." Chat responded with better VR and AR, AI driven gameplay, Cloud gaming and social and collaborative gaming. Next Prompt i decided to go more into AI in videogames, the prompt "ok give me 5 examples how AI can be used in videogames in the future." Chat GPT responded with more life like NPCs in games, different and unique content generation so no playthrough of a game is the exact same, a more realistic world in games, a more personalized gaming experiences, and better AI enemy for better difficulty in games.

Extend late literacy discussion with Chat GPT edit

The purpose of this entry is to extend the discussion about late literacy with Chat GPT. prompt was "give me 5 examples of what would happen if we didnt print out anything." GPT responded with less paper waste, cost savings and answers that i didn't want. I cleared up by saying "ok you didnt really give me the answers i was hoping for, i meant what happened if we never printed stuff in the past, like 5 examples on what if we never figured out how to print." GPT apologized and stated slower information Dissemination, limited access to education, no Renaissance, Religious reformation, and economic impact like no printing technology or books.
